Where’s My Refund? – IRS promises quick updates for e-filers

Through its online service, Where’s My Refund?, the IRS promises to be able to provide you with the status of your return within 24 hours of e-filing.  If you file on paper, the status of your return might not be available for 4 weeks after the IRS receives your return.

According to the IRS, You can generally expect your refund to be issued in less than 21 calendar days after they receive your tax return.  In order to check on the status of your return, you will need your Social Security number, your filing status, and the exact amount of your expected return.  Use the link below to go to the IRS’ Where’s My Refund? information page:
