Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. We are happy to discuss your tax situation with you in a no-obligation initial consultation. We can discuss possible options for your situation and answer any questions you might have about IRS collections policies or procedures.
How are your fees determined?
Most of our fees are calculated on a flat-fee basis. You will be given a set price based on your individual situation with a full understanding of what that fee includes. There are some situations, such as complex tax audits, that may require hourly billing. In that event, we will provide you with an initial project budget and clearly explain all fees before we commence any work on your case.
Do you offer payment arrangements?
Payment arrangements are decided on a case by case basis. We are happy to discuss various payment options with you during your initial consultation.
How long will it talk to resolve my case?
Each case is different. An installment agreement may be resolved in as little as a few months, while the offer in compromise process can take over a year to fully resolve. Before we begin any work on your case we will explain the expected timeline for each strategy involved.
Will I have to communicate with the IRS?
Once you are accepted as a client and we have filed an IRS power of attorney form for you, we will take over communications with the IRS on your behalf. Many of our clients never speak to anyone at the IRS once they hire us. The IRS will continue to send you copies of every notice that they send to us, so you will not be out the loop at any time.
