Allegheny County Assessment Update: 1/9/2012

The status of the 2012 assessments are unsettled at the moment.  On Friday, 1/6/12, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald decided to throw out the new assessment numbers and continue to use the old 2002 numbers instead.  In response, Judge Wettick issued an order barring the city and school district from using anything other than the new 2012 numbers to set their millage rates.  A status conference is scheduled for Tuesday, 1/10/12, at 2:00 p.m. before Judge Wettick.  Hopefully, some clarity will come out of the status conference.
